When we receive an invitation, the first thing that comes to our mind is what to gift. There are numerous options available and no one can blame you for getting confused. A very general gifting option is a photo-frame. They are available for every occasion and can be personalized accordingly. Every occasion creates some beautiful memories that we love to treasure. Instead of keeping them boxed in your closet, why not flaunt them all for all to see and admire? A simple photo can become very special if put in the right kind of photo frame. They are available in various shapes and color and are suitable for all ages. Here are some for you to choose from.
Christening: We hardly remember our own christening ceremony apart from what we have been told by our elders or from the photos and videos. So a photo frame that has been especially designed for this very occasion can be a very good gifting idea. You can even have them personalized by getting the baby’s name etched on it.
Birthday: Birthdays are always special and we love to store memories from each of our birthdays. So a photo frame would be a very good gift for a birthday. Be it a first, an 18th or a 60th, you will find one for each occasion. You can also make them more special by adding a message on the reverse addressed to the receiver.
Engagements: Engagement is a very memorable day for a couple. When you are being invited to an engagement party to be a part of this occasion, then you should choose a gift that will be equally memorable. A photo frame will serve the purpose very well. Special Photo Frames are available in stores and also online. You can even add a personal note on the frame addressed to the couple.
Wedding: A wedding is a very special occasion in anyone’s life. There are at least a million wedding gift options to choose from. But if you are looking for something that has a personal touch, a photo frame can be just the thing you need. The best idea would be to buy a double photo frame and have their names etched under each photo slot. Collage photo frames are also a very good choice as it will allow the couple to put in several photos in them. They are very nice show pieces for your home too. They not only add beauty and elegance and will refresh your cherished memories.

Summertime Energy-Saving Tips
These tips are designed to help you choose effective ways to reduce your energy bills. Some of these tips may not be relevant depending on climate, the age of your home and appliances.
- Be a speedy cook-Your microwave is one of the most energy efficient methods for cooking. It uses two-thirds less energy than your stove. Or even better, use the grill and cook your meals outside! Your meals will taste great and you’ll cut your energy costs.
- Use your dishwasher-You heard me right, your dishwasher uses less water than washing dishes by hand. Let them air dry to save even more energy.
- Fill up your Refrigerator-Having a lot of food in your refrigerator keeps it from warming up too fast when the door is open. This keeps it from having to work as hard to stay cool.
- Turn up your Thermostat-Set your thermostat to 78 degrees when you are home and 85 degrees or off when you are away. Also, use ceiling fans when possible.
- Run Full Loads-When you need to use your dryer, run full loads and make sure to clean the lint trap!!
- Reduce Operating Time of Pool Filter-Run it about four to five hours and during off-peak times.
- Unplug Electronic Devices-When not in use, unplug electronic devices and chargers. Turn computers and printers off at the power strip.
- Replace air Conditioner Filters-Replace monthly for maximum benefit.
- Increase your Attic Insulation-If existing insulation level is R-19 or less, consider insulating your attic to at least R-30.
- Install Energy Star® Products-Whenever possible look for the star, it’s a great investment!
- Turn off Appliances-This is a real no-brainer, but turn off all appliances, lights and equipment when not in use.
Summer is right around the corner, now is the time to put some of these helpful tips into practice!

Did you know the Irish have observed St. Patrick’s Day as a religious holiday for over 1,000 years? March 17 is the anniversary of the death of Saint Patrick. St. Patrick’s Day falls during the season of Lent and Lenten prohibitions against the consumption of meat were waived and people would dance, drink and feast–on the traditional meal of Irish bacon and cabbage.
